Valentine

This is my entry for this weeks CAS(E) this sketch! challenge.

I used my PTI Tree Tops stamp set and kept the colours to black, white and red.

The snow has melted here now and the temperature is rising, so spring may just be finally on it's way.

18th and 50th Birthdays

A busy week for birthdays in my sister-in-laws house this week. She is 50 and her daughter is 18. I made them cards on a similar theme. Butterflies feature once again!

Double Blog Challenge

There's a couple of Blog Challenges that I have entered one card for this week. The first is CAS Colours and Sketches Challenge and the second is CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge. I managed to combine both in one cute card.

Here's my entry.

I made a quick and easy New Home card with some kraft card and some bazzill embossed paper that I've had in my stash for ages.

Blog Challenges

Now I have a blog, I've been brave and entered my first ever blog challenge. This is all quite new to me, but I have seen that some bloggers enter loads of these challenges every week. They sometimes enter a project for more than one challenge. I don't know if I have to time to enter these challenges on a regular basis, but I saw this one and decided to have a go.
Here's the inspiration piece from CASE Study Challenge #123:

 and my entry:

Just simple stamping with Papertrey Ink stamps in three different shades of pink.
Wish me luck!

Lilac Birthday

This was a really quick and easy card. I stamped some flowers from this Verve Stamp, then coloured with Promarkers and cut them out. A bit of 3D foam and a sentiment and all done.

And a close up shot.

Birthday cards for boys

In January we are inundated with family and friends' birthdays. A few of them are teenage boys which I find so difficult to make cards for. I tend to stick to navy and blue and keep them simple.

So I used bazzill cardstock, some bakers twine and a stamp from Papertrey Ink. I made a few of them.

I've got a relaxing weekend ahead and the weather doesn't look too great, so a bit more cardmaking is in order I think.

Golden Wedding Anniversary

My husband's aunt and uncle are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary soon.

I love this stamp - its from Verve Stamps in the USA. These are excellent quality stamps which always give perfect results.
Close up on the detail:

I have to admit, this was my second attempt at this card. Note to self: cream cardstock and inky fingers don't mix!

Happy New Year!

A friend of mine has been away in Australia visiting family for a month, so I've made her a Happy New Year card. I tried to stay away from christmas colours and just wanted to keep to a bright theme.

I used Bazzill cardstock and some matching bakers twine. The butterflies are punched with a Sizzix paddle punch - one of my favourite shapes - and finished with a few gemstones. A very quick card.
